Max Planck Institute Postdoctoral and Researcher Fellowship

The Max Planck Institute Postdoctoral and Researcher Fellowship is a research fellowship programme offering postdoctoral researchers and researchers a stipend for work at the Max Planck Institute for the History of Science (MPIWG) in Berlin. It supports scholars who hold a PhD and are based outside Germany or working at non-German institutions, with a research project aligned to the MPIWG’s thematic focal points. Fellows receive a monthly stipend and a health insurance subsidy during the fellowship.

Monthly stipend ( €2,500 for postdocs; €3,000 for research fellows) and a health insurance subsidy up to €100 per month.

Scholars holding a PhD who are based outside Germany or working at non-German institutions, with their main place of residence outside Germany, and whose research projects align with MPIWG’s thematic focal points.
