William H. McPherson, Jr. Scholarship Program

The William H. McPherson, Jr. Scholarship Program provides scholarships to support young adults of Koochiching County in pursuing undergraduate or graduate studies in accredited two-year or four-year colleges, universities, or vocational-technical schools. Awards are issued by Scholarship America on behalf of the Saint Paul & Minnesota Foundation, with eligible fields including physical, life and health-related sciences. Recipients are selected based on academic performance, leadership, work experience, goals, and recommendations, with financial need not considered.

Financial scholarship for undergraduate or graduate study; one-time award operationally administered by Scholarship America.

Applicants must be high school seniors or graduates or current postsecondary undergraduates or graduate students planning to enroll or currently enrolled in full-time undergraduate or graduate study at an accredited two-year or four-year college, university or vocational-technical school for the upcoming academic year, and must be enrolled or planning to enroll in a physical, life or health-related science field.

Applicants must upload a current transcript and provide one online recommendation; selections are determined by the sponsor and applicants are notified by email in April.
