Texas Poetry Out Loud

Texas Poetry Out Loud is a state-level recitation competition for high school students, conducted by the Texas Commission on the Arts with national support from the National Endowment for the Arts. The program provides lesson plans and resources, with schools registering through the state arts agency. It is a in-person competition returning for the 2026-2027 school year.

High school students; schools or nonprofit organizations serving high school students; home-schooled students and students from schools without a competition are encouraged to contact the state coordinator.
