LOEWE FOUNDATION Craft Prize 2027

The LOEWE FOUNDATION Craft Prize 2027 is an international prize recognizing artistic vision, innovation, and distinct maker language in contemporary craft. Professional artisans age 18 or older may apply with original, one-of-a-kind handmade or partly handmade works created within the last five years. The winning work receives €50,000 and works awarded a Special Mention receive €5,000 each; winner and finalist works are included in the exhibition and accompanying catalogue. The Foundation covers transport, customs, taxes, insurance and related costs for finalist works and assumes travel and accommodation expenses if finalists must attend the jury announcement.

Professional artisans age 18 or older of any nationality; individuals and collectives may apply. Students may apply if they are over 18 and can demonstrate professional dedication to craft. Businesses and mercantile companies are excluded. Eligible works must be original, owned by the participant, one-of-a-kind, handmade or partly handmade, created within the last five years and previously unawarded.

Submit a short biography, a portfolio with up to five highlighted career works, detailed information about the proposed work, a conceptual and technical statement up to 200 words, two to five photographs, and an optional video up to one minute. Application fee: free.
