Singapore & Asian School Math Olympiad (SASMO)

The Singapore & Asian School Math Olympiad (SASMO) is a large school-level mathematics contest designed to stretch participants' higher order thinking skills through a mix of school and Olympiad-style problems. It is organised in differentiated papers by grade, with a 90-minute test containing 25 questions across multiple-choice and non-routine sections. All participants receive certificates; top performers receive award certificates, medals and other prizes including Perfect Score Awards and cash vouchers.

All participants receive a certificate. Top 40% receive award certificates and medals (Gold for top 8%, Silver next 12%, Bronze next 20%). Perfect scorers receive a Perfect Score Award and $100 cash vouchers each (subject to a maximum total of $5000 to be divided if necessary).

Open to Primary 1 to 6, Secondary 1 to 4 students and Junior College 1 to 2 (Grade 1 to 11/12 (JC) students from international schools).
