BPWI Educational Foundation Returning Student Scholarship

The BPWI Educational Foundation Returning Student Scholarship is a merit- and need-considered award providing financial assistance to females from Illinois who are returning to higher education. It supports applicants with previous college, university, or trade school credit who are accepted to or enrolled in an accredited postsecondary institution. Award amounts vary. Preference may be given to applicants demonstrating financial need.

Monetary scholarship award; amounts vary (listed as $2,000).

Applicant must be female, a U.S. citizen and a resident of the state of Illinois. Applicant must have previous college/university/trade school credit and be currently accepted by an accredited college, university, or trade school intending to enroll part-time or full-time. Applicant must hold a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. Preference may be given to applicants demonstrating financial need.

Application must include a cover letter, a completed application form with signatures and dates, a 200–300 word typed essay stating career objectives and use of the scholarship, a higher education transcript including all grades through the final semester attended, and two signed letters of recommendation from professional, advisory, or educational references.
