Joe Francis Haircare Scholarship

The Joe Francis Haircare Scholarship provides financial support for students entering or enrolled in cosmetology or barber programs. Scholarship amounts have varied and awards are paid directly to the recipient's cosmetology school. Esthetician and nail training students are not eligible. Recipients are notified by email and/or postal mail by the end of September.

$5,000 (amounts have varied); payment made directly to the recipient's cosmetology/barber school; number of recipients varies.

Applicants must be currently applying for entrance into cosmetology or barber school, or actively enrolled in a cosmetology or barber program. Graduates between January 1 and August 31 of the award year, esthetician students, and nail training students are not eligible.

Applicants submit basic information, educational resume, work history, financial information, essays (responses suggested to be limited to 250 words each) and at least two letters of recommendation. A copy of the cosmetology/barber school's notice of acceptance is optional.
