USIP Scholar Fellowship Program 2025-2026

The USIP Scholar Fellowship Program provides non-residential fellowships to Ph.D. candidates enrolled at U.S. universities who are writing dissertations on topics related to conflict management, peacebuilding and security studies. The program supports both research and writing stages of dissertation work and awards up to 18 fellowships per year. It includes a stipend arrangement paid in three tranches for a 10-month period.

Stipend up to $20,000; non-residential fellowship; opportunities for policy-relevant research and writing.

Open to doctoral candidates at U.S. universities with policy-relevant research for their dissertations.
