情報

The Theory-Experiment Cross Training (TEX) Fellowship is a graduate fellowship for PhD-track students in fundamental physics, astronomy, or cosmology to pursue one year of research in a complementary cross-discipline (theorists doing experiment or experimentalists doing theory). Fellowships are awarded as grants to the accredited university or college that employs the Fellow and require mentorship by a primary doctoral advisor and a cross-discipline advisor. Fellows are expected to remain full-time graduate students conducting research and to be relieved of course enrollment and teaching or other non-research responsibilities during the term. The program supported stipend/salary, advisor support, research materials, travel, cost-of-education expenses, employee benefits, and overhead as outlined in the grant budget categories.

特典

Salary support for the Fellow (up to USD 42,000 per year), salary support for faculty advisors, funding for books and materials, travel and lodging support, cost-of-education expenses, employee benefits, and institutional overhead coverage.

応募資格

Outstanding PhD-track graduate students whose research focus is primarily either experimental or theoretical in fundamental physics, astronomy, or cosmology, and who wish to pursue one year of research in the complementary cross discipline.

応募

Applications are submitted as grant proposals to the John Templeton Foundation via the Foundation's grants application portal; the award is made as a grant to the Fellow's accredited institution which manages the funds and reporting.
