Falling Walls Lab Riga

Falling Walls Lab Riga is a local selection round of the international Falling Walls Lab research presentation competition, organised in Latvia in cooperation with Latvijas Jauno zinātnieku apvienība (LJZA), the University of Latvia and the DAAD Information Centre Riga. Participants deliver a three-minute presentation of an innovative idea with potential societal or scientific impact. The Riga selection winner will be invited to participate in the Falling Walls Lab Summit in Berlin on 2026-11-06.

Winner is invited to participate in the Falling Walls Lab Summit in Berlin (2026-11-06); DAAD Riga will cover the winner's travel costs to Berlin.

Open to students, early-career researchers and innovators who meet at least one of: currently enrolled at a university; bachelor's degree obtained no more than 10 years ago; master's degree obtained no more than 7 years ago; doctoral degree obtained no more than 5 years ago. Applications must be submitted in English and individual participants from any country may apply. Previous international final participants may not reapply.
