Rosetrees Continuation Awards

The Rosetrees Continuation Awards provide follow-on funding for research projects that have shown outstanding progress and build on a current or recently completed Rosetrees-funded project. Awards are intended to support translational biomedical research with potential patient benefit, including projects addressing unmet clinical needs in the UK. Two award levels are available: Intermediate grants (up to £100,000 over 3 years) and Major grants (up to £210,000 over 3 years). Funding may cover salaries for research staff, consumables, sequencing, animal costs and other reasonable operational expenses.

Research grant award (monetary) at Intermediate or Major level with specified caps; may fund research staff salaries, consumables, sequencing, animal costs and reasonable operational expenses.

The principal applicant must be the PI or co-I on an active Rosetrees-funded grant within 12 months of completion or on a Rosetrees-funded grant completed within the last five years. The principal applicant should hold a tenured position or demonstrate that their salary will be funded for the full duration of the grant.

Two-stage application: submit a preliminary application for triage; shortlisted applicants are invited to submit a full application for external peer review. Applications are submitted via the Rosetrees Flexigrant portal.
