Sonderprogramm Demokratie

The Sonderprogramm Demokratie is a special programme of the Gerda Henkel Stiftung supporting research on democracy. It consists of two thematic strands: a historically oriented strand addressing democracy as utopia, experience and threat, and a contemporary-analytic strand exploring transformations and future contours of democratic societies. The programme invites contributions and proposals that situate current challenges in broader historical contexts or that analyse and speculate on democratic transformation processes.
