Jugend-forscht Sonderpreis der WE‑Heraeus‑Stiftung (GDNÄ‑Programm)

The Jugend-forscht Sonderpreis of the WE‑Heraeus‑Stiftung awards up to three prizewinning teams each year within the Bundeswettbewerb „Jugend forscht“. Winners receive a cash prize and a scholarship for free participation in the next GDNÄ assembly. Scholarship recipients are invited to take part in youth programme formats at the assembly, such as the Science Slam "Wissenschaft in 5 Minuten". The programme aims to connect young researchers with established scientists and the GDNÄ conference audience.

Selection occurs via the Bundeswettbewerb "Jugend forscht"; prizewinners are chosen from that competition.
