ALLEA Task Forces on Science Education and on Disciplinary Diversity and Research Capacity (nominations via Royal Irish Academy)

Two ALLEA task forces will run for 18–24 months from early 2027 to address (a) science education and (b) safeguarding disciplinary diversity and long-term research capacity. Task force members will contribute to regular meetings, prepare publications and recommendations, and participate in dissemination activities. The Royal Irish Academy intends to nominate one or more candidates associated with the island of Ireland to these task forces and will, subject to advance approval, support travel and subsistence costs for participation.

Participation in task force meetings (3–4 per year, at least one in person), contribution to publications and recommendations, dissemination activities; travel and subsistence support subject to approval.

Members of the Royal Irish Academy may be nominated, as well as other outstanding individuals associated with the island of Ireland and having relevant expertise.
