Medical Research Scotland funded Daphne Jackson Research Fellowship

The Medical Research Scotland funded Daphne Jackson Research Fellowship is a competitively selected fellowship to support researchers returning to medical research after a career break. Fellowships are hosted at Scottish universities or recognised research institutions and combine a personalised programme of retraining and mentorship. Awards are available for up to three years on a half-time basis and address research questions relevant to human health or disease. The fellowship is intended for applicants with a good STEM first degree and a PhD or substantial research experience prior to the career break.

Up to three years' fellowship at half-time, personalised retraining programme and mentorship; placement at a Scottish university or recognised research institution.

Applicants must have a good first degree in STEM and a PhD or ideally at least three years' research experience prior to the career break. Applicants must have taken a career break of at least two years from a paid research position for family, health or caring reasons, be resident in the UK at time of application and have the right to work in the UK (Tier 2 or Global Talent Visa applicants may be considered).
