SSF Research Institute Doctoral Student 2026

SSF Research Institute Doctoral Student 2026 is a grant programme funding doctoral education for students employed at research institutes that collaborate with academia. Eight projects will be granted SEK 3.25 million each to cover research and postgraduate education for a doctoral student. Grants run for four to five years and the projects must result in a doctoral degree in natural sciences, medicine or technology. The supervisor at the institute is the applicant and project manager and the university and institute must be active in Sweden.

Employees at a research institute who want to take a doctoral degree in natural sciences, medicine or technology and who have not already been accepted for a doctoral position. The recipient must be at least 80 percent employed at the research institute during the entire grant period. The supervisor at the institute is the applicant and project manager. The university and institute must be active in Sweden.
