The 2026 Johannesburg Stock Exchange (JSE) Bursary Programme for Young South Africans

The JSE Bursary Programme provides financial support to previously disadvantaged students pursuing undergraduate or honours degrees in fields relevant to South Africa’s financial and economic development. It is funded through the JSE Empowerment Fund and supports students who demonstrate academic excellence and financial need. The bursary aims to empower and develop the next generation of South African leaders by offering financial assistance and related development opportunities.

Full or partial tuition coverage; support for study-related expenses; mentorship and coaching opportunities; exposure to the professional environment of the JSE; development of technical, analytical, and leadership skills.

South African citizens from designated groups who are full-time university students in their 2nd, 3rd, or Honours year.

Applicants must submit the required documents (including proof of registration, academic record, proof of household income, and other supporting materials) to apply for the bursary.
