E-MRS Young Researcher Awards

E-MRS Young Researcher Awards recognise graduate students for excellence in materials research and promise for future achievement. Awards are available (up to 2 per symposium) for young researchers presenting at symposia of the E-MRS 2026 Spring Meeting & Exhibit. Winners receive a cash prize and a personalised certificate. The awards ceremony is scheduled during the conference.

450 Euro and a personalised Award Certificate

Applicants must be registered as students undertaking a PhD research programme on a topic within the scope of a symposium at the E-MRS 2026 Spring Meeting & Exhibit, be main or co-author of the manuscript and be responsible for the oral or poster presentation; the appropriate conference registration fee must be paid by or on behalf of the applicant prior to the conference.

Submit the completed application form, one copy of the conference abstract, a description of the work associated with the abstract, and a letter of support from the PhD supervisor.
