AI Alignment Foundation Fellowship 2026

An 8-week, full-time technical research fellowship in AI alignment run by the AI Alignment Foundation in partnership with AE Studio. The program is fully remote and provides research support, compute resources, mentoring, and a stipend. Fellows work on supervised research projects and present at a Demo Day. The fellowship is aimed at researchers across career stages with strong ML and experimental skills.

$12,000 stipend, full compute resources and API credits, dedicated research manager and AE Studio researcher guidance, professional research infrastructure, travel and accommodation for Demo Day, career guidance and networking opportunities

Open to applicants of all nationalities and multiple career stages; strong ML background and some independent research experience are expected. Recent PhDs, MSc students, self-taught researchers, postdocs and career transitioners are welcome.
