Schweizer Bundes-Exzellenz-Stipendien

The Swiss Government Excellence Scholarships support international exchange by funding researchers and artists to conduct research or pursue a first master in Switzerland. They are awarded to young, talented researchers from abroad who hold a completed master's degree. The scholarships support research cooperation with over 180 countries and are selected by the Federal Commission for Scholarships for Foreign Students (ESKAS).

Monthly stipend of CHF 2450; support for research or artistic work in Switzerland; placement must be supported by an academic supervisor in Switzerland.

Young, talented researchers from abroad with a completed master’s degree; postgraduate applicants from all faculties. Art scholarships are for foreign art students pursuing their first master in Switzerland and are limited to certain countries.

Applications are submitted via Swiss embassies and are evaluated by the Federal Commission for Scholarships for Foreign Students (ESKAS).
