Graduate Research & Travel Grants

Departmental funds to subsidize graduate student travel to major conferences and to support graduate student research projects. Awards are reimbursed upon presentation of appropriate receipts and are intended for work related to theses, dissertations, or contemplated publications. Applications are accepted at any time and reviewed by the DGS; awards are made on a rolling basis. The program has annual per-student caps and per-trip maximums based on travel location.

Reimbursement for covered travel and research expenses (airfare in economy/coach, conference registration fees, experimental subject payments, language work expenses) with per-year and per-trip caps.

Graduate students in the department may apply; applicants may not apply while on a leave of absence. Strong preference is given to work related to theses and dissertations or contemplated publications.

Obtain advisor approval memo and submit conference acceptance confirmation and expense details via the department application form; applications reviewed by the DGS and awarded on a rolling basis. The page links to a Google Forms application to apply.
