YSEALI Academic Fellowship

The YSEALI Academic Fellowship is a five-week intensive academic program in the United States for young leaders from Southeast Asia focusing on themes such as civic engagement, natural resources, innovation and entrepreneurship, and society and governance. It provides seminars, group presentations, lectures, educational travel, site visits, volunteer opportunities, and potentially an educational study tour. The program is part of U.S. public diplomacy efforts to provide skills training and strengthen ties between the United States and Southeast Asia. Participating Vietnamese applicants are hosted by various U.S. universities according to thematic tracks.

Five-week academic program including seminars, group presentations, lectures, educational travel, site visits, volunteer opportunities, and possibly an educational study tour; participant costs covered.

Vietnamese citizens aged 18 to 25 who are full-time undergraduate students or recent graduates, not U.S. citizens or permanent residents; applicants should demonstrate leadership, interest in community service, and proficiency in English and have little or no prior experience studying or traveling in the United States.
