A WE Heraeus - Lorentz Center workshop bringing together scientists to identify common features and mechanisms governing active filament systems and their emergent behaviors. The event aims to bridge research on biological filaments and filamentous matter with the design of novel functional materials and adaptive soft robotic systems. It focuses on unifying principles linking microscopic activity, mechanical properties, and emergent collective behaviors across scales.
