National Treasury Bursary Scheme 2026

The National Treasury Bursary Scheme provides financial support to South African students studying in fields deemed critical and scarce for the National Treasury. It covers funding from the second year of undergraduate studies at local accredited universities or technology universities. Benefits include registration, tuition, accommodation, prescribed textbooks, and a monthly allowance.

Be registered for full-time undergraduate studies; be a South African citizen; achieve an academic average of 65% or above; demonstrate financial need; be pursuing one of the listed fields such as BCom Accounting, BCom Economics, Diploma Logistics or Graphic Design.
