Willem F. Duisenberg Fellowship 2026-2027

The Willem F. Duisenberg Fellowship at NIAS invites researchers and policymakers to pursue their own research in topics related to monetary economics, macroeconomics and public finance. The fellowship provides an opportunity to work in a multidisciplinary environment at NIAS, with a residency and access to facilities, for five or ten months per academic year. The fellowship is primarily for mid- to late-career researchers, with encouraged applications from exceptionally talented early-career researchers as well.

Office at NIAS, access to research facilities, subsidised accommodation (where eligible), a personal stipend or Dutch University Grant, and a full-time residency at NIAS.

Open to prominent, leading mid- to late-career researchers as well as promising early-career talents from the Netherlands or abroad; applicants should have at least three years of post-PhD experience.
