STIAS Iso Lomso Fellowship 2026 for African Scholars

The STIAS Iso Lomso Fellowship is a three-year research fellowship for African scholars who hold a doctoral degree and are affiliated with a university or research institution in Africa. Fellows reside at the Stellenbosch Institute for Advanced Study (STIAS) for extended periods to develop and conduct a long-term research programme, with multiple residencies spanning 2027 to 2029. Benefits include travel, accommodation, office facilities, a monthly stipend, library access, and participation in STIAS activities, along with a childcare subsidy for resident fellows with young children.
