Google Africa Applied AI Lab 2026 is a program based in Ghana that supports African founders and researchers to develop AI-based solutions addressing local challenges. It functions as a zero-to-one commercialization platform, pairing participants with Google experts and mentors, and culminates in a demo day with potential funding and further support from Google and partners.

Hands-on technical mentorship and go-to-market support from Google Research and other Google teams, access to cutting-edge models, and potential funding from Google AI Futures Fund and leading venture partners.

Current full-time founders and/or top researchers looking to become startup founders.
