JPL Year-Round Internship Program

The JPL Year-Round Internship Program at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory provides hands-on experience for undergraduate and graduate students in STEM. Interns work with JPL scientists and engineers on active missions, receive mentorship, and participate in enrichment activities, including lectures and networking events. The program is available year-round with part-time or full-time options, and includes a paid stipend with additional housing and travel support for eligible in-person participants.

Weekly stipend; potential housing and travel allowance for eligible in-person participants; enrichment sessions, facility tours, career development workshops, and mentorship.

Applicants must be enrolled in an accredited U.S. college or university as an undergraduate or graduate student in a STEM field, maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0 (preferably 3.5+), be a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident, and be able to commit to a minimum 10-week internship for the first term. University authorization for off-campus, independent study or internship is required.

Applications are submitted online through the JPL internship portal, including a digital application form, resume, and unofficial transcript; candidates are screened for eligibility and may be contacted for an interview.
