HCSS General Internship Programme 2026

The Hague Centre for Strategic Studies (HCSS) is inviting applications for its General Internship Programme in the Netherlands. The internship is a paid placement with hands-on research experience in security, defence, geopolitics and international affairs, designed for students pursuing careers in policy analysis, research and related fields. Interns work with research teams on ongoing projects and may participate in organizing events and preparing publications.

Applicants must remain officially enrolled at a university throughout the internship period and should be able to commit to a six-month duration when possible.
