World Press Institute (WPI) Fellowship 2026

The World Press Institute (WPI) Fellowship 2026 is an immersive program for international journalists. The fellowship includes a study of the U.S. media landscape, experiences across multiple cities, and engagement with media outlets, think tanks, and advocacy organizations. WPI covers program expenses including airfare, lodging, and a modest daily allowance.

Roundtrip airfare, lodging during the program, and a modest daily allowance for food.

At least five years of full-time employment in journalism, currently employed as a non-U.S. journalist working outside the United States, and fluency in English.

Submit the names and email addresses of three professional references; references should be able to comment in English on the applicant’s journalistic abilities and leadership potential.
