Catalytic Grant Fund 2026/2027

The Catalytic Grant Fund is a grant initiative hosted by the United Nations Foundation on behalf of the International Pathogen Surveillance Network (IPSN) and WHO. It provides funding for short-term pilot projects in pathogen surveillance, aiming to strengthen genomic and environmental monitoring systems and promote scalable solutions in LMICs.

Financial support for project implementation, capacity building in pathogen surveillance, and potential contribution to scalable solutions and global health security.

Open to IPSN member organizations in LMICs; consortia where the lead applicant is an IPSN member from an LMIC; or non-member organizations that apply for IPSN membership alongside their proposal.

Two-stage process: Stage 1 concept note submission; Stage 2 full proposal for shortlisted applicants, with due diligence by the UN Foundation.
