Peter J. Rappa Resilient and Sustainable Coasts Fellowship 2026

The Peter J. Rappa Resilient and Sustainable Coasts Fellowship 2026 is a 10-week summer programme designed for students interested in sustainability, climate adaptation, and coastal resilience. It is supported by the University of Hawai‘i Sea Grant College Program and involves working on real-world projects across Molokaʻi and Oʻahu, Hawaii. Fellows gain hands-on experience in climate adaptation and coastal resilience, and participate in professional development related to research, communication, and policy.

Stipend of $8,000; hands-on experience in climate adaptation and coastal resilience; exposure to real-world sustainability and planning projects; opportunities to integrate traditional knowledge; professional development in research, communication, and policy.

Applicants must be full-time undergraduate or graduate students, or recent graduates, and be a U.S. citizen or national with an interest in sustainability, climate, or coastal systems.
