Global Teacher Prize

The Global Teacher Prize is a US$1 million award recognizing exceptionally contributions by teachers to education and their communities. It is open to currently working teachers who teach students in compulsory education and related early years settings, with a nomination or application process managed by the prize Academy. The winner is selected by the Global Teacher Prize Academy, and the prize aims to elevate the profession and inspire best practices globally.

Currently working teachers who teach students aged 5 to 18 in compulsory education (including Early Years) and who plan to remain in teaching for the next five years; teachers may apply directly or be nominated by others.
