DDSA Visit Grant

The DDSA Visit Grant is a short-term visit grant administered by the Danish Data Science Academy to support international academic visits to Danish universities or research institutions. It aims to build international research networks, support future fellowship applications, and promote knowledge exchange within the data science community. Grants support visits that align with the DDSA research scope and require a confirmed host supervisor agreement. Recipients are expected to submit a final report after the visit and complete the visit by the stated deadline.

Up to DKK 15,000 to cover travel, accommodation and related expenses; opportunity to visit a Danish university or research institution; access to Danish research resources; opportunity to collaborate with Danish experts and build networks; basis for future PhD or Postdoc fellowship applications.

Open to applicants of all nationalities who are enrolled in a bachelor’s, master’s, PhD, or postdoctoral program at a university at the time of the visit, or within one year of completing enrollment/employment. The visit must take place at a Danish university or research institution and require a confirmed agreement with a host supervisor using the DDSA Letter of Support template.

Prepare a Letter of Support from the host supervisor using the DDSA template and submit the application through the DDSA Portal at least one month before planned travel. Applications are processed within six weeks; if granted, complete the visit by October 1, 2026 and submit a final report and account within two weeks after the visit for reimbursement.
