Yukon Community Pilot (YCP)

The Yukon Community Pilot (YCP) is a government immigration programme offering a two-year, site-restricted open work permit. It allows eligible applicants to work for multiple employers in participating Yukon communities and supports pathways toward permanent residency. The programme launched in 2020 and continues to function as a route for skilled workers to immigrate to Yukon.

Two-year site-restricted open work permit; eligibility to work for up to three employers in participating Yukon communities.

To qualify, applicants must have two or three eligible job offers and a supporting letter from the Government of Yukon, and meet the general requirements for obtaining a work permit. The job offers must be within participating Yukon communities, and collectively total at least 30 hours per week.

1) Secure job offers through the listed pathways; 2) submit a permanent residency application to the Yukon government; 3) apply to the federal immigration authorities for the work permit.
