The Fulbright Visiting Scholar Program awards individual grants to faculty and professionals for advanced research and university lecturing in the United States. Grants are available to scholars from over 100 countries and exchanges typically range from three to twelve months. Participants work with a faculty associate at a U.S. host institution and engage in research and/or teaching projects specific to their field. The program also includes several specialized initiatives such as Scholar-In-Residence, Fulbright U.S.–ASEAN Visiting Scholar Initiative, and the Fulbright Arctic Initiative.

지원 자격

Applicants must be citizens of a country participating in the Visiting Scholar Program (U.S. citizens and permanent residents are not eligible), possess a doctoral degree or equivalent professional training or experience at the time of application, and have sufficient proficiency in English to carry out the proposed project. Other terms of eligibility may apply at the country level.

Individuals apply through their country's Fulbright Commission/Foundation or the public affairs section of the U.S. embassy; selection is made at the country level and final approval is issued by the Fulbright Foreign Scholarship Board.
