EMBO Postdoctoral Fellowships 2026

The EMBO Postdoctoral Fellowships support excellent postdoctoral researchers for up to two years with a requirement of international mobility. The fellowship includes a salary or stipend, a relocation allowance and support for fellows with children; awardees may participate in EMBO programs and join a global network of EMBO Fellows.

Salary or stipend, relocation allowance, support for fellows with children, potential participation in EMBO Laboratory Leadership course, membership in the EMBO Fellows network.

Applicants must hold a doctorate or equivalent at the start of the fellowship and have at least one first author publication; mobility between countries is required and certain restrictions apply to previous PhD locations and prior work in host laboratories.
