ACRL Academic/Research Librarian of the Year Award

The ACRL Academic/Research Librarian of the Year Award recognizes an outstanding member of the library profession who has made a significant national or international contribution to academic or research librarianship and library development. The award includes a certificate of recognition and recipients are further recognized at the ACRL President's Program at the annual ALA conference. The award is juried by the ACRL Academic/Research Librarian of the Year Award Committee.

Any member of the academic or research library profession is eligible. Self-nominations are accepted and ALA/ACRL membership is not required for nominees or award recipients.

Electronic nominations through the online nomination form. Nominator completes the form and uploads a single PDF containing a nomination letter, current CV/resumé, and up to two letters of support. Self-nominations accepted. Applications remain in the award pool for three years and may be updated each year by the deadline.
