Georges Giralt PhD Award

The Georges Giralt PhD Award is a European scientific prize recognising outstanding PhD theses in all areas of robotics. It is awarded annually by euRobotics AISBL and showcases theses defended during the covered calendar year at European universities and associated Horizon Europe countries. The award includes a trophy and publication of the thesis by Springer in the STAR series, and the winner(s) are announced and presented at the European Robotics Forum.

Trophy; publication of the thesis by Springer (STAR series); finalists receive €500 travel support, free ERF ticket and free ticket to the official dinner.

Robotics-related PhD dissertations successfully defended during 2026 at a European university (granting institution located in the EU or one of the Horizon Europe associated countries). Only self-candidatures are accepted.
