MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships 2027

The MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships are competitive, cohort-style postdoctoral research fellowships funded under Horizon Europe and administered by the European Commission. They provide mobility-focused fellowships for researchers holding a PhD to carry out 12–24 month research projects at academic or non-academic host organisations in EU Member States, Horizon Europe Associated Countries or third countries (for the Global track). Grants include allowances for living, mobility, family and research costs and facilitate access to European research infrastructures and collaboration networks. Tracks include the European Fellowships (intra-European mobility) and Global Fellowships (outgoing and mandatory return phase for EU nationals/long-term residents).

Applicants must hold a PhD (or have passed the doctoral defense) and have no more than eight years of full-time equivalent research experience since the date of their doctoral award, with recognized deductions for documented career breaks. Specific track eligibility: European Fellowships welcome researchers of any nationality hosted in Europe; Global Fellowships are reserved for EU nationals and long-term residents.
