AfrikaBurn 2027

AfrikaBurn 2027 is a temporary community and arts event held in the Tankwa Karoo, South Africa, centred on participation, creativity, gifting and collective responsibility. Participants create and interact with large-scale and small-scale artworks, performances, installations and theme camps; some works are intentionally burned as part of ritual. The event emphasises radical self-reliance and communal contribution, with participants volunteering, building, performing and offering services or gifts to others.
