CIPESA DPI Journalism Fellowship for Eastern Africa 2025

The CIPESA DPI Journalism Fellowship for Eastern Africa 2025 invites applications from journalists based in Eastern Africa to study and report on Digital Public Infrastructure and Digital Public Goods. The program includes rigorous training, mentorship, and financial support, with a six-month duration (June–December 2025) and a practical grant to support story production, plus travel and related expenses for an in-person workshop.

Grant up to USD 1,500 for story production; travel and accommodation for in-person workshop; mentorship from senior journalists and policy experts; certificate of completion; access to additional reporting grants post-fellowship.

Open to journalists based in Eastern Africa who have at least three years of professional experience and are affiliated with a credible media outlet.
