M-ERA.NET Joint Call 2026

M-ERA.NET Joint Call 2026 is a transnational research and innovation funding call focused on advanced materials and strengthening the European Research Area. The call supports ground‑breaking research and transnational collaboration among researchers, academia, industry and other stakeholders across six thematic areas in materials science. The Research Council of Norway participates in the call and offers funding for Norwegian researchers and businesses to take part in consortia. The call follows state aid rules and funds activities classified as Industrial Research or Experimental Development.

Project funding for eligible costs (up to 50% for undertakings); transnational collaboration support and access to joint call resources.

Transnational consortia of researchers, academia, industry and other stakeholders may participate; Norwegian proposers can participate in all thematic areas. Funded activities must be Industrial Research or Experimental Development. Undertakings in difficulty are not eligible.

Two-stage submission with a Pre-Proposal and a Full-Proposal; applicants submit proposals to the M-ERA.NET joint call (see official call page).
