CMU-Portugal 2026 Mobility Initiatives: Visiting Faculty and Researchers Program and Visiting Students Program

The CMU-Portugal Mobility Initiatives 2026 comprise two programs: Visiting Faculty and Researchers and Visiting Students. They support short stays at Carnegie Mellon University for collaboration in information and communication technologies, with up to eight visiting researchers and up to 12 visiting students. The programs aim to foster scientific cooperation between Portuguese institutions and CMU, offering opportunities for research, education, and exposure to CMU’s academic environment.

Visiting Faculty/Researchers: candidates must be Portuguese citizens or foreign residents with a PhD and affiliated with a Portuguese higher education institution or a research lab. Visiting Students: candidates must be Portuguese citizens or foreign residents with permanent residence in Portugal.
