Awesome Poughkeepsie Grant

The Awesome Poughkeepsie Grant is a monthly community grant awarding $1,000 to support public-facing projects that directly benefit the City of Poughkeepsie and its residents. The chapter favors inclusive projects that engage residents, forge collaborations, and demonstrate social impact, executability and originality. Grants are intended for specific projects rather than general donations, seed funding for for-profit businesses without social impact, or personal living expenses.

A $1,000 grant to support a community project; checks are delivered the first week of the month.

Projects must directly impact the City of Poughkeepsie or its residents; donations without a specific plan, seed funding for businesses lacking social impact, salaries not tied to a specific event, and proposals benefiting only one or two individuals are unlikely to be funded.

Submit an application via the Awesome Foundation submissions portal (chapter-specific apply link) and follow chapter application questions; meetings occur around the 3rd Thursday each month.
