Awesome Foundation SF Microgrant

The Awesome Foundation SF Microgrant awards $1,000 microgrants to support small, creative, community-focused projects. Grants are informal, no-strings-attached awards intended for individual applicants—especially beginners—and favor playful, experimental, or unexpected approaches. The chapter gives one microgrant per month and prioritizes projects that are achievable with $1,000 and that engage the local community. Profit-centered business projects are explicitly not considered.

Preferentially for individual applicants—especially beginners—rather than established organizations; profit-centered business projects will not be considered. Projects should be within the chapter's region (very loosely defined) and achievable with $1,000.

Apply online via the Awesome Foundation submissions form; proposals reviewed at the chapter's monthly meeting (apply at least seven weeks ahead for events).
