DAAD RISE Worldwide 2027

DAAD RISE Worldwide offers fully funded research internships for bachelor’s students in natural sciences, engineering, computer science, medicine and pharmacy. Eligible international students must be enrolled in a German university and intend to complete their degree in Germany, with projects located in various countries and durations ranging roughly six weeks to three months, typically during the summer. Participants receive a monthly scholarship, a travel allowance, and health, accident and personal liability insurance.

Applicants must be fully enrolled bachelor’s students at a German higher education institution and have completed at least one semester; for foreign applicants, the German university must be the institution where they intend to complete their bachelor’s degree.

Applications are submitted through the DAAD RISE Worldwide internship database; prepare a tabular CV, motivation letter per project, transcript of records, list of relevant courses, proof of English proficiency, language evidence if relevant, and a university lecturer recommendation
