The NRF SARChI Chair in Equality, Law and Social Justice at the University of the Witwatersrand invites applications for PhD and LLM by Research bursaries commencing in 2027. The programme supports postgraduate law study and research in Africa, with selected scholars receiving funding toward their degree.

혜택

Funding toward the degree as specified (PhD up to ~R200,000 or ~R150,000; LLM up to ~R190,000 or ~R145,000, depending on academic merit).

지원 자격

Applicants must be South African or from other African countries and study full‑time at Wits University under the supervision of the Chair or associates, meeting minimum academic requirements.

Prepare required documents and send applications to Judy Mafika by 30 September 2026; also apply via the NRF online system and the Wits School of Law once accepted by the Chair.
