Doctoral Scholarships in Human Sciences (ULiège)

The Doctoral Scholarships in Human Sciences at the University of Liège fund doctoral research in humanities, social sciences, law and related fields. Two scholarship types exist: end-of-thesis scholarships (BSH-C) and promotion scholarships for new research projects (BSH-P). Scholarships provide a monthly doctoral allowance, a research costs lump sum, and social coverage, and are awarded for an initial two-year period renewable once. Candidates must be enrolled or admissible to a doctoral programme at ULiège and present an approved research project.

Monthly non-taxable doctoral allowance; €2,500 research costs allowance; full social coverage; two-year contract renewable once.

Applicants must hold a Master 120 issued by ULiège or an equivalent degree in humanities, social sciences or law, be enrolled or admissible to a doctoral programme at the University of Liège, and present a research project validated by a local supervisor.

Submit the completed online application form on the University's research portal with CV, detailed research project, and supervisor support letter; administrative admissibility check and scientific evaluation by the Sectoral Council; notification of results for contract start the following year.
