Academy Research Fellowship (2027)

The Academy Research Fellowship is a four-year funded fellowship scheme to support early-career researchers on fast career tracks and to advance their scientific competence and career toward leading research positions. Funded projects are expected to produce high-quality, innovative and ambitious research and to promote the researcher’s internationalisation, leadership skills and professional development. The funding can cover the fellow’s salary, salary costs of a possible research team and other research costs. The maximum funding granted for a project is 700,000 euros.

Individual researchers who have completed their first doctoral degree within 2–7 years of the start of the calendar year closest to the application deadline. For this call, eligible applicants are those whose first doctoral degree certificate is dated between 1 January 2020 and 31 December 2024. Applicants who completed their doctoral degree earlier may be considered for special reasons such as parental leave, military/non-military service or long-term illness.
